was established in 1926 by Earnest B Heron and was originally
known as Heron Insurance Service. Ernie's son-in-law Frank McCoy
took over the operation in 1945 following his return from Naval
duty in World War II. As the agency began to grow, Frank's sons
Marc and Mike McCoy joined the team after graduating from
college in the 1970's and have continued the tradition to this
day. Currently McCoy
Insurance Services, Inc. serves the insurance needs of
approximately 1,700 individuals and families as well as over 400
businesses in Galena, The Galena Territory and Jo Daviess
County.
Our Office is equipped with the
latest computer technology to provide instant rate comparisons
and quotes, change endorsements, certificates of insurance and
claim reporting. Our Claims department has authority to write
you a check on many property claims immediately.
