McCoy Insurance Services, Inc. was established in 1926 by Earnest B. Heron and was originally known as Heron Insurance Service. Ernie's son in law Frank McCoy took over the operation in 1945 following his return from naval duty in World War II. As the agency continued to grow Frank's sons Marc and Mike McCoy joined the agency after graduating from college in the 1970's and have continued the tradition to this day.
Currently McCoy Insurance Services, Inc. serves the insurance needs of approximately 1,700 individuals and families as well as over 400 businesses in Galena, The Galena Territory and Jo Daviess County.
